Jacques Kessl, Ph.D. 

Casey was raised in Tucson, AZ and attended the University of Arizona (U of A), earning his Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry.  While attending the U of A, he conducted undergraduate research under Dr. Douglas Loy studying sulfonated polyarylenes.

He continued his studies in chemistry at Syracuse University earning a Master’s and Ph.D. in Organic & Inorganic Chemistry under Professor James. T. Spencer.  While in the Spencer lab he worked on several projects with a main focus on design and synthesis towards new organic and inorganic nonlinear optic compounds.

After earning his Ph.D., Casey accepted a position at the University of Southern Mississippi as their Senior Laboratory Coordinator and Instrument Manager.  He continues to perform computation research on new carborane based materials as well as works towards restructuring senior level laboratories.
